My week saving

This week saving

I did my grocery this week and I save $70. How?
First I go online and check for coupon. I shop at H-E-B grocery store, it’s in Texas. I download the H-E-B apps and you can save your coupon there and at the cash register they scan your phone with the app that download your coupons automatically on your receipt. It’s fast and efficient.
The more I use the H-E-B app, the more I receive free things. This time I had free 5 lbs mandarins. I had free milk, $5 off when you spend $10 on fruit and vegetables, etc. If I don’t look in the app, I don’t have it.

Next, I use Ibotta app. That’s an app I use often and it gives you cash money. You can shop to most of your favorite store and it gives you cash back. I use Ibotta for Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, target, H-E-B, Walgreen, Joann’s and much more. This is the link for it: https://home.ibotta.com/
Let me know what you are doing to save money. What is your secrets?

Have a look at https://thekrazycouponlady.com/ They are just amazing and I use them all the time to save a lot of money every week.

Dog recipes, table food?

Dog food, diet, table food, what is the best?

In this part of my blog I will share what I found to help you feed your doggy healthy, diversity, and super easy to follow. Like human, dogs are also subject to malnutrition, obesity and all kind of issue that is related to the food they eat. Sometime we think,  “it’s expensive food, it must be good, all the advertising said healthy, low fat, no grain etc..” Where do we go from there? Like human, everything have a balance everybody have a different metabolism and digest ingredients differently.

For dogs there is some food DO NOT GIVE TO DOG this is very important to read.

I will had things in my blog for helping you guiding your furry animal to stay the most healthy possible and have variety and suggestions of meal for your dog.

First, if you want to make you dog an homemade meal, the common mistakes people make it forget to add calcium. You must add calcium in your dogs diet. Adult dogs need around 800 to 1,000 mg of calcium per pound of food. The best way I had calcium to my dog food it’s by egg shells.
The more meat diet food, the more calcium will be required to reach the correct calcium:phosphorus ratio. The meat you cook don’t have the bone so it’s why you need extra calcium in you dogs diet.
I do ground eggshell  as a calcium supplement. You can rinse eggshells and dry them on a counter or in the oven, then grind them. One large eggshell provides one teaspoon of ground eggshell, which contains 2,000 mg of calcium, so add ½ teaspoon ground eggshell per pound of food fed. Do not  use the eggshells that haven’t been ground to powder, they may not be absorbed well.
You can also use other types of calcium supplements over the counter and powdered it on top of the food.

Why feeding homemade food?

Variety  I believe dog have taste and love variety as much as human does. A homemade meal include a variety of different foods witch is better to feed many different types of meat (beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, fish, etc.), as well as other foods, such as organs, eggs, yogurt, and healthy ingredients.

Do not feed your dog these ingredients

* DO NOT GIVE TO DOG *
IMPORTANT

Most food is safe for people but are unsafe for dogs. Here are some food you should not feed your dog:
  • Garlic and onion: can cause anemia
  • Tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant may aggravate arthritis pain and grains and starchy veggies aggravate other forms of inflammation.
  • Potatoes: may aggravate arthritis (sweet potato is fine)
  • Macadamia nuts: toxic to dogs
  • Chocolate and caffeine: toxic to dogs.
  • Xylitol, a natural sweetener, very toxic to dogs. Be careful, you can find it in many different type of peanut butter used as sweetener.
  • Grapes and raisins: can cause kidney failure.

We have two beautiful guinea pigs that’s been giving to us by a friend. We have fun with them but you can’t do much with a guinea pig other then pet them, feed them and clean them. I decided to make a leash for them so they can finally go around the house securely. We had so much fun and I could even train the dog to come close and smell.
I made the harness out of fleece then I crochet a little leash to go on it. It worked perfectly. Now we have a new way to entertain these little pets. Both of them seem to enjoyed there new walk around the house.
The white and brown guinea pig is name is Captain Guinea and the brown hairy guinea pig is name is Mister Butt Cheek.

Ingredients
1 pound of chicken breast cubed (can be any protein)
4 cups of frozen veggies (can be fresh also) it was carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.
2 cups of fresh bok choy
1 cup bean sprout
2 Thai chili minced

The best advice for stir fry it’s to prep everything before you start your wok. Also the cooking order of the veggies is very very important (who wants a soggy bok choy 🥬)
First sauté garlic, green onion, pepper, ginger in oil for 1 min, add chicken and frozen veggies and add half soya sauce. Sauté until chicken is almost cooked then add bok choy. Sauté another 2 minutes
Then add bean sprout and the cooked noodle, add all the sauce, mix really well, finish your touch with cut fresh basil and it’s ready to eat. It’s a recipe that is easy to modify just don’t forget not all vegetable have the same cooking time.
